Fueling issue

When at the pump. My '06 fills around half way and kicks off. Then it clicks off immediately every time I squeeze the handle. Any ideas why this happens?

This happens sometimes to my 05 gt. I think it's the gas stations issue. I think that the gas is flowing too fast, so it backs up and thinks that your tank is full. I go to a different station an it doesn't happen

Happens to me all the time, boy do I get so freaking mad. I will be on empty and I put a dollar in and it cuts off. You just have to find the sweet spot to keep filling. Even if you look down right retarded when your fueling.

It's a known issue. There's been a TSB for it since forever. It helped, but it still happens from time to time. Just depends on the pump, and not necessarily the whole station.

You can also try turning the handle. People will think you're weird, but it helps...

happens to me as well! What i do to stop that is if you pull the nozel out half way and continue fueling it wont stop. It has to do with pump pressure and flow into your inlet pipe to your tank if you push nozel in to far it gets to much fumes and back pressure making pump think your full! it happens to best of us. Doesnt mean somethings wrong with your car its fine lol!

It has to do with the amount of fumes or gas thats going in. I have that trouble all the time. Just turn the nozzle or something.

Thanks folks. I've done all those and the last time nothing worked. I was there for 10 minutes at .2 gallons at a time. At least I'm not crazy or my cars jacked up.

If mine gets picky, it'll at least get to half a tank first. So if I really *have to* fill up, I'll just pick a different pump and try again.
