different ignition and trunk keys

When I purchased my 95 Cobra used, it came with seperate keys for the ignition and trunk. I am assuming that this is not how it was stock and that the trunk had been changed since the doors match the ignition. Can the trunk tumbler pins be changed to match the rest of the car?

My Aspire was that way when I bought it (used) the lady had broken a key off in the ignition and the lock was changed...prob happened in your case as well.

You should be able to buy a trunk lock kit that has all the tumblers you need to match your door/ignition key. You will need to measure the key cuts and build the lock as the instructions describe. Check with Kevin Casey at Clevenger (05stangkc), he may be able to help.

Found the perfect solution on ebay. I was going to go with KC ( very helpful ) and get a new lockset, but before I could act, a whole lockset showed up on ebay, the kicker is that the lockset is for the antitheft for which the car is pre-wired. Now I am trying to get a compatible anti-theft module to run it. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=52330
