Question Coyote vs. Coyote

The Coyote motor is used both in the Mustang and the F150.
Are the only similariites between the two the engine blocks?
Are all internals different?

Don't take this as definitive, but my understanding is that the truck engine has less aggressive intake cams [ less duration ] and 1/2 a point less static compression [ 10.5 for the truck vs 11.0 for the mustang. This would make sense since the truck requires more low end torque, but high rpm horsepower is less important. The lower compression ratio would also make the truck engine less likely to experience detonation under heavy load. It wouldn't take much to effect these changes. The cams would be a simple substitution and a piston change could take care of the compression. The rest of the internals can and probably do remain the same. Certainly it seems to me that it would be cheaper to use the same rods and cranks in both. I think the trucks also use regular exhaust manifolds.
