Best Compliment that you received on your car.
Thanks! I always love the response I get. Even tho fellow Mustang drivers dis it at times. My girlfriend drives it and she always tells me someone has complimented her on the color, or said sweet or something. I took my sis out to lunch one day and a group of Harley riders and I exchanged niceties about each others rides and she asked, "Doe's that happen often" I just smiled and replied YEP!
I've only had my GT 'vert for two weeks, and I've gotten the typical "nice car" comments from friends, neighbors, and even a couple of strangers.
But yesterday my cousin Patty paid me a surprise visit. It was a beautiful day so I took her for a a nice top down ride on Rt 80.
As I was tooling along around 65 mph, I noticed in my rear view mirror a new, bright red Camaro convertible gaining speed (very nice looking car by the way...looks much better as a 'vert than a coupe IMHO)
It switched lanes, pulled along side of me and the driver gave me a big smile and a thumbs up. I returned the same silent compliment and then he sped off.
I think I'm going to be living for those kind of moments.

Went out on a date with a girl I just recently met and we went out to putt putt. Just so happens we had to drive through a small car event to get to the putt putt place. As we were driving by she's like everyone is looking at your car. Which i'm pretty much used to by now. But while we were playing. You could see my car from where we were and 2 younger kids behind us were like dude look at that mustang! and she kinda giggled.
Always fun when you hear someone talking about your car and they have no idea its yours.

We are half way through a two week National Parks tour and today were in Arches National Park. We had stopped to see 'the windows' and when we got back down to the parking lot a man was taking a photo of my Mustang. I'm pretty sure he was European. He traveled across the ocean and most of the way across America and was standing in the presence of some of the most spectacular scenery to be found anywhere in the world and he was taking a picture of my Mustang. To me, the compliments don't get any better than that.
I've only had my '70 for a little over a year. It is undergoing a major restoration right now. When I bought it, I had to trailer it from Omaha to NE Nebraska. It was in pretty rough shape to say the least. I stopped to fuel up, and it seemed that everyone else filling up, moseyed on over to ask about it. After giving the rundown on it, everyone wished me the best of luck to get her running and driving again. It has been a fun process so far.
Thanks!!! Definitely a work in process. It's starting to not be called 'junk' by my family. It helps that it is all one color now. 😃 Hopefully quarters and taillight panel will be on before the end of June, then I can't start all the awesome body filler work and more paint!!!!!
The rack works pretty well considering it was around $250 to make vs. $1000 to buy one new. Can't argue with that.
