Manual by far. Living in Central Florida and spending extensive time in Orlando I have had my fair share of city traffic and I have never gotten tired of having a manual. Real muscle/sports cars should only have manuals in them

No it's not. Fast Automatics are still fast cars. 1/4 mile, automatic. Course racing, manual. Live in the Oakland/Alameda/San Fran area, Automatic.

Atlanta, New York, Huston, auto. Mostly anywhere else, Manual.

I'm in New Orleans, we get our fair share of traffic, but back roads are fun, especially when hardly anyone uses them.

I've never driven a manual though, when I buy the 05 it'll be my first. A friend is teaching me so when I get it I won't ruin the clutch, I'll just ruin his.

I'm going to love the manual. I've been wanting one since I started driving. Auto is boring as all heck and makes me fall asleep when driving for over 20 minutes. I don't like being able to have your left foot on the seat, or smoke a cigerette, or talk on the phone. It's much more fun to make people call back over and over.

I think it's be easier to speed in an automatic since you just press gas, but i'm not to sure since I have rarley driven an auto, and it was a 4-banger. With a manual you shift, and are aware of speed. Just tell your parents that, besides you are more aware of driving when on a manual. On an automatic you have it easier to get distracted. 30 min= knowing how to handle a mnaula somewhat.
1 week=better at diff situation
a little longer=second nature.

There is this strange thing in the dash called a speedometer. Looking at it from time to time will help you not to speed, regardless of your tranny.

Auto for me. Sticks can be fun but the reality of traffic moved me in this direction.

Whether you like it or not, that's my choice.

I drove and Auto for 7 years and Hates every day. I get stuck in traffic too. The Delaware section of I95 back up faster Than a toilet at a beef and beer but I still drive a manual now and love it. The car driver connection is lost with autos. Not to mention overthe years when I have been sitting in the sevice area waiting for an oil change or check up when ever some is female doging about their tranny problems it's always an auto.

My auto is fun as it is--stock. I don't feel that I've given up a bit of the car-driver connection by driving an auto, and it's for dang sure that when traffic crawls along I enjoy it a whole lot more than when I had a stick.

I understand where you guys are coming from, having driven sticks for longer than most of you have been alive. But after going over to the dark side, I don't think I'll ever come back.

A good manumatic would be perfect for this car. It's coming, I'm sure.

Manual has more of a ''Fun Factor" but the automatic is the way I would go for a everday driver.

You should not be allowed to put a auto in a performance car... it takes 90% of the fun of driving out.

For you maybe. Not for me. Have you ever driven a performance car with a tiptronic transmission? It's the best of both worlds.

Tiptronic :notnice:

If you like auto over manual then its great, but for guys who like manual, it doesn't come close.

Tiptronic still operates like and is essentially an automatic transmission.

I drove a G35 Coupe with tiptronic and wasn't impressed.
