i think they take the phones to keep ppl from calling their parents and panicking. but the fact that phone signals could set off certain bombs is also a viable reason.
when there was a bomb threat at our skool they didnt take em away, just told us not 2 use em

my best 100m to date (i've only ran it competitively twice) is 12:72. not insanely good, but not too bad
my best 200m (still only my 2nd time) was 26:86. my first 200m was 27:49 so i improved by .63 seconds in a week. that made my day even more than getting 2nd did! :w00t: there were some insanely muscluar dudes in my race. i thought "im gonna lose for sure!" oh well. the smallest one beat me. go figure huh?

we have snow days too, 6 a year. we dont miss school on bomb threat days, they make us all go and check our bags on entry...
