Moved 06 topics

Slow down??
There's like ten posts moved on the first page of the '05 forum today!
I had to sift through posts and go to subscriptions just to find a thread I was looking for... oh well.

Regarding topics being rehashed over and over...this is why other forums develop stickys. This forum is no different, it will have to be done soon. It cuts down on a lot of threads, however, you are still going to have people that post and don't bother searching, that's just the way they are. Some kind of warning should be issued...even if it seems harsh. You're conserving bandwidth and server space...not to mention preventing regular members from getting annoyed.
I have a question.....
Are you trying to completely do away with the 2005 main talk page? I only ask because I don't see anyone sifting through all these sub forums to find info. The info that ISELLFORD and 05stangkc posts is important info and its getting moved to places, I don't feel that everyone will visit ever....

I used to really enjoy the main talk page. "Performance White Owners" gets moved to order status and production info  ... take a look through and look to see that they're being moved to places that make even less sense. I think if there is any possible excuse to move a thread out of the main forum, it's being done. Supposedly the reason is for organization, but based on what I've seen, it's being made more confusing and more of a mess than ever.
This is a very broad post, not directed at any one persons post/reply.
We are not trying to do away with completely, just re-organize and revamp the sections to try and make the best of what it can be. Sadly we cant please everyone though and some just arent up for change and frown upon it.
I agree that if someone such as Isellford or 05stangkc post reports or updates ford related, then yes that is good main material, but alot of other things are not and can easily fit into the proper subforum or not.
Also, at the top of every page there is a search function. Also as well as the bottom of every page in which will allow you to search that forum you are in. The search on this site works very well with minimal input.

On the performance white comment........ im gonna look at that, cause i am not quite sure how that all fits together yet. We are still trying to come up with a perfect layout, just not quite there yet.

(edited for spelling)
We are discussing what defines the main 05 section and what should be there and what shouldnt. I agree it should be maybe a bit more laid back as far as content, a fun place to hang out. But it also isnt a place for everything and anything to just be put and expected to stay there.
The color specific threads like the white one in question. We have only moved those temporarily untill we can find a better/perm. home for them.

No offense, but its reminding me of the library. Go in keep your mouth shut and just search.
ok...I'm done.

That's exactly what I said! For a while I've been thinking I'm ... At least I'm not the only one.
Performance White, sonic blue, vert owners, etc. have been moved back to the main forum and yes, they will stay there as well as any new threads created by members that want to show pics of their 05/06 rides unless it is to show a modification they have done, then it goes to the proper subforum.
What do you think John?

We appreciate everyones opinion. It helps us figure out what to do next with the board.
Is it possible to put do a search in the 2005-6 forum and have it search through all the sub-forums? I can't seem to make that work, but it would certainly help me find issues that I think should be in a particular sub-forum but are in a different one I didn't think about.
For example, I searched for Jack Stand threads in the main area and found none, so I posted a question in the main forum. When I went back a few hours to check on any answer to my question, the message had been moved, but there was no indication that it was moved, so I thought it had been deleted.
It turned out that it was moved into the GT tech and Perfomance section. While I never would have considered jack stands a performance topic, I guess it could be considered "tech." So, perhaps this particular forum should be broken apart.
I really tried to find this topic before posting a repeat of a subject previously covered. I just can't see searching each sub-forum individually. I don't think I'm alone in thinking that people post repeats not just because they don't bother to search, but because they can't easily search.
I completely understand the desire of the moderators to move topics into the appropriate areas. Just give us a better search engine to help us find them!

If you select to search 2005+ forums..it will search all subforums as long as that option is checked.
