Here's an example one of the mods started:

According to the new mods, this should of been in the performance section. I guess

This says it all.
This is a situation that existed way before Adrenalin became a mod. Maybe he's just doing what he's told to

One thing to remember is the subforums didn't always exist so there was a lot of thread shuffling once the subforums were created. A lot of those posts were just under the Modifications forum until they were moved to the proper subforum.
Just want to let you guys know that I understand how you feel about the threads being moved around. I'll slow down but that does not mean a thread will not be moved if I think it should be moved. There is more to this site than just the general section. Believe me, if everything stayed there it would be insane and for what I heard, before subforums were created, it was a mess.

There is no doubt some mods have gotten out of control. I've several threads get moved out of the section they belonged in, (the one where it was started) and into a section it had no business in.

Do you have an example?
I am actually glad for the order.
I used to have to search a lot more for the topics I wanted and remember what it was like before the subforums. Even once they are moved it leaves the forwarding part in the General thread so people can see it from either the General or the Exterior mod/Interior/etc.
I do agree the search function doesn't work the best but I have been to many sites where it is impossible to find things even with the search function. That said, I do not envy any of the mods with the job they have to maintain of looking at all these threads and having to gauge where they belong. Good luck to all of you!
Scothew probably needs the most luck though....

Shouldn't this thread be moved to the Site Feedback & Suggestions forum?

Personally I think the issue relates more to the forum design than over moderators moving threads. Had a somewhat less cumbersome series of forums and sub-forums been architected I tend to think that fewer threads would be in need of being moved around.
That was my point exactly.
The Modifications sub forum came well after all the other sub-forums were already in place. Then only some of the sub-forums came off the first page and some were left as they were.
That's why I posted that link to the modifications forum. If you have the first page of a forum that contains nothing but moved topics, something's wrong with the design.

If a new subforum is created for all of the "I ordered my car" or "it finally arrived" topics you would see tons of moved topics from the main forum. Not sure I would attribute that to a flaw in the design. The easy thing to do is not leave a link when something is moved but that would not be the smartest thing to do.
Looks alot cleaner.
I think this site has a pretty much ideal setup for the # of viewers. It might look confusing at 1st but it really isolates things for a guest who is scrolling for info on their interest, rather than getting unrelated info.
We gotta think of our guests too lol.
Moderation isn't out of order...yet.

Slow down??
There's like ten posts moved on the first page of the '05 forum today!
I had to sift through posts and go to subscriptions just to find a thread I was looking for... oh well.
