Got a friend that runs the 4-hour endurance races in Alabama. He broke his wrist and is out until September, but he's going to have me navigate for him before the season's over. I'll try to bribe him into letting me work on it in the winter.

I know I've said it before, but Gibson is one hell of an actor, despite all the crazy **** hes been involved in over the last few years.

And its a damned shame that Heath Ledger's life ended up like it did. He had the potential for greatness in the craft.

Ask him if it was at Stoney lonesome. My friend does a race there as well that's 4hr. That's where we rode sat.

the Patriot is an awesome film, and Jason Issacs is fantastic in that role, his ruthlessness is incredible. Also, it was majority filmed in Charleston, SC; one of my absolute favorite places!

Love the scenery and the cinematography. The homestead they had at the beginning was epic. Love **** like that.

And yes, he is very easy to hate, I loathed that mother f'er through the whole film.

Love the part when they are recruiting people and the dude (that kills himself later) is laughing about a "ghost" that killed 20 soldiers with a Cherokee hatchet. Us Cherokees don't **** around, we'll lop your head right off.

Hey, don't bag on my people. We were ahead of the curve on many things. Language, reading, writing stories, etc. We were the first Native Americans to publish a newspaper. Right here in Ga. at New Echota in the early 1800's (1820 or so). Of course that son of a ***** Andrew Jackson rounded us up and drove us off of our land on the Trail of Tears.

Well **** him. I'm back here and I'm scooping up as much of the old land as I possibly can.

I don't mean any harm. Cherokees were a great people and were done wrong.

I just mean my ancestors would kick your ancestors asses. That's all.

Well at least we could read and write our history down. Maybe genetics is the reason I started reading and writing at such a young age. But all kidding aside, its weird how our heritage is still in the blood line, for all of us. Pretty cool stuff IMO.

Of course I lost a lot of it due to alcohol and other things. Hell, I've got the trifecta of alcoholics in my genes. Cherokee, Scotch-Irish, and German. You couldn't create a more perfect storm of lushes than those people to be a descendant of.

My 5 year old asked me the other day "Daddy are we British?" Without thinking I said yes. Then she asked "Why don't we talk funny then?"

She meant are we actually British and I thought she meant descended from British.

My heritage is German and Irish on my moms side. My moms dad was Irish and her mom was full German. And on my dads side it's welsh from his father and English and Comanche from his mother.

My great grandmother was a full blooded Cherokee, I remember going to see her when I was a tyke. Little bitty woman, short, skinny as a rail, skin darker than Jason (lol, J/K man) and the longest hair I've ever seen on a person. Jet black hair (even though she was probably 90) and straight as an arrow all the way down below her knees, feisty and pulled no punches. Cool person, she spoke English and Cherokee, just wish I would have had more time with her to learn more of it.

I've recently seen a few documentaries on that. Where the writing seems to have been influenced from Iberians pre-Columbus. Really interesting all the rock inscriptions through the Appalachia's.

And why did Sequoyah wear a middle-eastern type headdress?
