I went to Mardi Gras in the heart of Bourbon St. on Monday and Fat Tuesday, and it was a unique experience. I don't care what they have down in Brazil for carnivale, it can't touch what I saw going on those two days.

i love old stuff also .. i have a 1952 tv .. 1950`s sewing machines .. a 1907 sewing machine .. lots of old steam locomotive tools .. box cameras ...

Well I'm not going to Bourbon St. for sure. I'm planning on taking the family to an uptown parade. Orpheus which Harry Connick Jr's parade he puts on every year. If the wife didn't have to work Tuesday, I would have left the kids home and went to the big after party.

Should have gone over to Mobile for the real Mardi Gras. Oldest celebration in the US.
