You know this old world is full of singers
But just a few are chosen
To tear your heart out when they sing
Imagine life without them
All your, radio heros
Like the outlaw that walks through Jesse's dream
No, there will never be another
Red-headed stranger
A Man in Black and Folsom Prison Blues
The Okie from Muskogee
Or Hello Darling
Lord I wonder, who's gonna fill their shoes
But just a few are chosen
To tear your heart out when they sing
Imagine life without them
All your, radio heros
Like the outlaw that walks through Jesse's dream
No, there will never be another

You know the heart of country music
Still beats in Luke the Drifter
You can tell when hew sings I Saw the Light
Old Marty, Hank and Lefty
Why I can feel them right here with me
On this Silver Eagle rolling through the night
Who's gonna fill their shoes
Who's gonna stand that tall
Who's gonna play the Opry
And the Wabash Cannonball
Who's gonna give their heart and soul
To get to me and you
Lord I wonder, who's gonna fill their shoes
Still beats in Luke the Drifter
You can tell when hew sings I Saw the Light
Old Marty, Hank and Lefty

I went to see him just today
Oh, but I didn't see no tears
All dressed up to go away
First time I'd seen him smile in years.
He stopped loving her today
They placed a wreath upon his door
And soon they'll carry him away
He stopped loving her today.
Oh, but I didn't see no tears
All dressed up to go away
First time I'd seen him smile in years.

And if drinking don't kill me
Her memory will
I can't hold out much longer
The way that I feel
With the blood from my body
I could start my own still
And if drinking don't kill me
Her memory will
Her memory will
I can't hold out much longer
The way that I feel
With the blood from my body
I could start my own still
And if drinking don't kill me
Her memory will

There are people in this country
Who work hard every day
Not for fame or fortune do they strive
But the fruits of their labor
Are worth more than their pay
And it's time a few of them were recognized.
Hello Detroit auto workers,
Let me thank you for your time
You work a forty hour week for a livin',
Just to send it on down the line
Hello Pittsburgh steel mill workers,
Let me thank you for your time
You work a forty hour week for a livin',
Just to send it on down the line.

When people reminisce about guitar players, a lot of people forget about what a BAMF Allen Collins was. And he was a BAMF. He doesn't get near the credit he should.
Loved this quote I saw on youtube...

In my opinion, we would have much better music these days if computers didn't exist. We would have much better a lot of things for that matter. God only knows how many undiscovered, amazing musicians are out there that are just wasting away watching Netflix. Allen Collins was that good because in 60s, when he grew up, there wasn't jack **** to do. You could go outside, read, or watch one of the whopping 3 tv stations that existed back then. He is the result of someone spending every minute of their free time playing guitar.

**** Amy Lee and the version most people love of this song. I think this is a much better version of it. More raw and gritty. That's what I like.

If you don't like me, brother, that's okay
I ain't gonna let it wreck my day
I keep stylin', smilin', handin' out the sunshine
I got no good reason why
****, it feels good to be me
Seats laid back in my Cutlass Supreme
I'll be alright
Rollin' these streets all summer long
I ain't gonna let it wreck my day
I keep stylin', smilin', handin' out the sunshine
I got no good reason why
****, it feels good to be me
Seats laid back in my Cutlass Supreme
I'll be alright
