what are you listening to ?
No I just heard the song on faction the other day and it cracked me up. Looked up the vid and it was awesome. There's even a parody that's funny yet disturbing.

John Mayer - Slow Dancing in a Burning Room
He gets a bad rep for having cheesy pop chart music, but when he starts playing his guitar and really feeling it, he's awesome!

I've been looking a lot into the guitar playing area of YouTube lately. Watching videos of Mayer, Clapton, SRV, etc. I think once tax season winds down I'm going to buy a Stratocaster and try to finally teach myself to play. There's some great programs out these days to help.

mmhmm. Rocksmith looks like it'll fit great with how I learn. I get lost in all the musical terms e sharps, flats, keys or w/e, etc.
You'll get used to them the more you play. Eventually you'll have to learn how to read the music to play a song that isn't in one of the programs; it's not that difficult.

I don't figure it'll be too terribly bad. Just seems daunting at first, especially since I'd basically be teaching myself. A lot like when I teach people to play golf. There's so much to it, I narrow it down to the absolute basics to start with.

maybe in another life....lol
