Any of you listen to Mazzy Star? Got to be one of the most chill and relax bands out there. Instantly calming you down.

Sometimes I'd just like to make a movie to put cool songs on the soundtrack

 

A friend used to play some about 10 years ago. Seems like one song was the whole CD. Really cool and laid back. Don't remember the name of the CD.

 

It kind of reminds me of Jesus and Mary Chain but with a female lead singer

 

No mazzy star for me, never checked them out.

Did get a chance to listen to the whole raconteurs album "consolers of the lonely" and you can hear a little stones, Beatles, and zeppelin influences pretty noticeably.

 

The effects on her voice with the real psychedelic groove. Real whining steel guitar solos constantly. Gotta say it took me probably 20 years to appreciate this band but damm they had something special.

 

Any certain albums or tracks in particular?

 

I think there's one with a swan on it. Not sure the title. It's blue. Everybody knows Fade Into You and it's pretty mesmerizing. The entire album pretty much follows the same type of groove.

 

That must be the one I heard. Dug it.

 

Looked into it; that album is Among my Swan, their second album. The single Fade into You is off their first album. I might try the single and check it out. Thanks

Sorry, I've been on some new medicine and it's playing havoc with my concentration/focus. Last night was better, but today is miserable.

Lee and I both had blue 08 Shelby GT's with the Silver stripes. We both have black Shelbys with red stripes. That was the point of my comment. Sorry for the confusion. That's worth an invite IMO, and even if he gets snobbish, I'll bring my basset and have him stare at Lee and not let Lee pet him. That'll learn'im.
