I can't say I know much of their music. I'm slowly finding more and more of the older stuff though. I can't stand the top 40 country station anymore. I've been listening to the smaller one that plays a lot of the older stuff.

I'm not trying to be arrogant, I'm just trying to educate you on country music groups since you are a young guy that wasn't around. All things aside, if it weren't for Alabama breaking through the boundaries of music into different genres, you wouldn't have groups like TBP, Little Big Town, ETC today, They paved the way for country music coming into the mainstream. Their music crossed boundaries into different genres. You need to listen to more of their music.
You might not get how important it was because you're young and you grew up on a different time, but trust me, their music made a huge impact on the industry. It crossed lines that had never before been crossed.

Little Big Town doing a cover of an Alabama song (a song I loved since I was a young man, especially since they sing about places where I grew up)

Long live metal!
That said I've been stuck on the bluesy tracks from jack white and the white stripes in general lately.
Hey on the Alabama thing they were the cats *** back then much like the Statler Brothers and Kenny Rogers were before them. I still have some Statlers in my library lol.

Hello ladies.
I'd go out on a limb and say I've got the most diverse collection of music of anyone in this entire thread. Anyone wish to challenge that?

Hey Scott, have you ever listened to these live albums? "An Evening With the Allman Brothers" first and second set? They are fantastic for the later stuff ('91 or so IIRC). It was right after Warren joined up with them. These are two of my favorites (but I like them all, both albums).
Warren is just wailing on that thing, and Dickey is at his best since the early days. Good stuff. And Gregg is in full form.
