When I hear Civil War in reference to music, this is the only thing I think of.






When I hear Civil War referenced in a context other than music, I only equate it as the war of Northern Aggression.

This is still my favorite of theirs. Their new album is incredible though.

 

Yes, seriously. Never heard of them. I listened to it, they have fantastic harmonies, but that is not a song that needs to be covered. Can't really cover that song, its too epic in its original form.

They do have fantastic voices though, I'll give them that.

 

Now that is an awesome song, they sound fantastic together. Beautiful harmonies, and such strong vocals. Good stuff.

It's hard to call it a cover, cause it's so different from the original. Listen to their version or Tell Mama and compare it to the original. I was shocked when I looked up the original on youtube.

That is a really good cover, but comparing it to Etta is almost blasphemy. Some things just should be left alone.

Stuff like this (its your fault Nate, you got me back down deep into that Ga. soul music that I love). Scott may like this, but probably not, hes a bit too young. I grew up listening to stuff like this around the house on the record player. Yeah, its obvious that all people in the South are racists, you know, when the stack of LPs in the house that plays all the time is full of stuff like this. Every Saturday while mom is cleaning the house these type records are playing one after another

Love this freakin' song. Those Ga. boys lay it down and set trends. Hell, Otis was the original bad ***. You hear these rappers talking about an OG these days, hell Otis was the FIRST OG. Just watch this vid and tell me he wasn't. He was the man. :




He was obviously a Ford man judging by his stable of cars, I love the verse "I got 6 Cadillacs, 5 Lincolns, four Fords, 6 Mercury's, 3 T-birds, Mustangs, oooooohhhhhhh."


That **** makes me hurt way down deep in my soul, in my heart. I love it, moves me like you couldn't believe.

 

My favorite version of this song. I really don't care for the version with Amy Lee.
