Video just was released, and is really cool. Ive been a fan of Damon Johnson since brother cane came out here in Bham way back years ago and he's played with ALice Cooper, Thin Lizzy and some others, now him and a few other guys started a new group for fun I think.

Highly underrated band, especially in concert, one of my favorite songs. Hard to believe its been 25 years since I first heard it. Seems like yesterday.

No, but that was awesome!

I wish I had gone to see them at Iron City. If they come through again, I am defintely going.

Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue is coming in dec to Workplay (Where I saw Brother Cane) and Im really trying to get a couple of ppl to go with me. Group of 4, you can get a table up on the balcony and not deal with all the crowd and you get waitresses.

If everything works out I'm gonna try to see them in Jan. If I can find someone to go with me (and drive, lol).

I don't know how these guys aren't superstars right now with the way country and rock have converged. Only thing I can figure is that they don't fit the mold of the record companies. Not clean cut enough, not dressed up in skinny jeans, hair not slicked and formed, and they write their own songs, don't have a bunch of dancers and fireworks exploding on stage, and don't lip sync for the camera. Basically they're not "fancy boys" prissing around or rapping to a country soundtrack.

God forbid a band actually play their own music live, look like normal people, and sing from the heart.

I mean, how many country rock bands are playing stuff like this out there on the radio? Written by the artists, played by the artists, from the heart? Not many. That is good ****, **** I can really relate to, and I'm sure there are many more people that can as well. It really hits home to a person like me, and that means a lot.

I love that song btw, its flat out great. Reminds me of listening to my dad and his buddies sitting around playing acoustic southern rock.

In Chattanooga at Track 29 (about a 1500 person venue around the old Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel area.) Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue is playing there Dec. 17. http://www.track29.co/

Florida Georgia Line is playing there Nov 20 for free and donating all proceeds to Christmas for Kids to buy toys for under privileged children.

BBS is going to play there Jan 17. I've got a friend that wants to go and will drive and get a hotel with me, but it coincides with some business stuff that I've got going on and I may be out west at that time unless something changes.

Another great one, you've probably seen it Scott, but its so good. Love the live acoustic stuff. Such a great song, reminds me of people I'm close to. I think its one of their best, it really hits home.

Been there, done that, know all about it, still love the song. Such an appropriate depiction.

If you understand this song, you've lived through and experienced some really ****ed up ****, and have been left to be "shaped" by some really ****ed up people in the name of organized religion.

I understand it completely.

Hence why I'm going to hell according to all of those that put me in that situation.

I've always loved the more acoustic stuff. The sound is just more clean and to me shows more musical abilities. For instance I am a fan of Alice in chains, but thier unplugged album was one of the best albums I've ever owned. Acoustic can just take a song to a whole other level if done properly.

I listened to a lot of bbs past night and I think the clips I've seen of them live and such is much better than studio
