its just nice easy listening and I am to relaxed to listen to techno and rap tonight. It really reminds me of high school hanging out by the lake with my people.

I'm not talking about the exact songs, I'm talking about her voice. She has talent and is still even now better than anyone "making music" today. If you're a big, popular band, 99% chance you've gotten someone to package you: the look, the sound, etc., all comes from a manager that tells you what you're going to look/sound like. If you think otherwise, you don't know much about the music industry. The really talented musicians are often ignored because they can't be sold by the producers and the record companies. It's not enough to sound better than everyone else. These days, all you have to do is produce a certain sound and look like a supermodel and you'll have a record deal waiting for you. Music is about sound; I don't give two ****s what he/she/they look like, and I never will. I care about how their sound makes me feel. Today's music makes me feel nothing but a headache from the repetition from one band/singer to the next. There are no Merle Haggards, no Waylon Jennings', no Loretta Lynns, no Tammy Wynettes...just a bunch of boys and girls who look cute in "country" clothes and can pass for choir students in high school.
