Unfortunatly this is the worst election choices i have ever seen offered in a presidential election, of course i'm only 25 so i haven't experienced many...

I am voting for Alan Keyes. I still see voting for a lesser evil is voting for evil.

But, if you want tickets to the Dems convention, volunteering six hours of your time to the Obama campaign is required.

I can hardly wait for the day when the Star Spangled Banner gets replaced by the International Hymn.

GO OBAMA!!!

I have to vent. The media in our country is laughable. Recently I have been mulling through news blurbs which try to somehow paint Obama as more sympathetic and empathetic of our troops. Senator McCain and I disagree on a lot of issues, but his love and devotion for his country and fellow military personnel is frankly beyond reproach proven in ways most Americans, including Obama, cannot even fathom.

McCain risks life and limb during the Oriskany fire to pull a fellow pilot out of a burning aircraft which could have easily exploded at any point killing him. McCain obviously survived, but he was severely injured. Still, he returned to active duty only to be shot down and spend years in the Hilton. Suffering torture most folks cannot imagine he refused an offer for freedom granted when the North Vietnamese discovered that his father was an Admiral. Folks, that is two, count 'em two, genuine acts of heroism where a man literally and willingly offered up his own life for the sake of his fellow servicemen and his country.

And we are somehow supposed to believe that McCain doesn't care about the troops in the same manner Obama does? If MSNBC, CNN, etc had any credibility to begin with
they would be all out now.

I have voted in a lot of elections.
The 1976 one with Jimmy may have been worse. I voted for McCain, sorry I meant FORD.

If Obama is such a patriot and loves the armed forces so much then why didn't he serve?

The blunt reality is, he as many blacks in this country, are bitter, perhaps with good reason for some but rather than to make the best of opportunities the, dwelling on the past seems to be more important at least for those who make a very good living out of it. Exhibit A, restitution to blacks and other minority groups with respect to slavery endured by past generation as proposed by Obama a couple of weeks ago. It seems the notion of bitterness is one he cannot let go which explains his radical associations which thrive on divisions. That is also why his emphasis is on collectivism instead of individualism.

It's a matter of convincing the masses that sharing prosperity no matter who brought it to fruition it is better and a lot easier than earning it by individual dicipline, effort, and sacrifice with the exception of the clan's top brass which of course exclusion is accepted.

Well said.....I'd like to add something to the Exhibit A....This idea is the most ludicrous thing every conjured up by the poverty Pimps!

Example 1: My mother was English and was bombed by the Germans during WWII...she escaped death more than a few times during the German Bombing of London some of her relatives were not so lucky.....so if the above example is valid then should I not receive Restitution from Germany for my family who were bombed repeatedly back then?!?.....

Example 2: My wife is Jewish....should SHE not receive restitution from the Germans for the Holocost....a crime FAR WORSE than the Slavery issue....neither was right but the Holocost was a FAR worse fate yet you do not see Jews running around screaming that they want money paid to them for damages!

PC or not I don't care....I'm tired of people trying to get by in life by blaming others and not taking any effort themselves to better their own life....they figure if they can corner someone or a group into giving them a hand out that it will make things better when the reality is that it is nothing more than a shakedown by playing the guilt card on those who were not directly involved. It's time to EVOLVE and move on.....MANY bad things have happened and are happening in the world so instead of playing the blame game looking for handouts, Better yourself and evolve!

Interesting take from a black preacher:

This is a good one about "change":

Everyone should look up the clip from Bill Cosby on what he says about the general black population. He has good things to say.

Is it just me, or with all the help he's getting from "traditional" media, or "drive-by" media if you will, shouldn't Obama actually be ahead in the polls. Actually he should have a at least 15 point lead. Imagine how big of a lead he would have if he actually had an original thought that wasn't provided for him on his teleprompter.

And as the media is now saying, racism will keep him out of office if he loses, because white racist Americans won't vote for him because he's black. How is it not racist for 96% of black Americans to vote for him? If your voting for him because he's black, thats your choice and your vote, but don't accuse me of being racist simply because I'd rather vote for someone else who isn't a socialist. Call me anti-socialist then.

I agree, I am sick and tired of hearing the Racism card played.....Fact of the matter is that if someone QUALIFIED like Colin Powell was in his place I am many others would vote for him...skin color hasn't got a **** thing to do with it!

Give me Clarence Thomas (who Obama recently ripped last Saturday on the 'debate'), Colin Powell, Condi Rice, or even just Bill Cosby any day over Barack the hack.

1. Obama has absolutely no meaningful executive experience of any kind. For me that is an absolute mind blower which makes me genuinely wonder how he got the nod for Democratic nomination. Sure, he is a very personable fella who people like to hear speak. That qualifies him to be a High School principal, not President of the most powerful nation ever to grace the globe.

2: McCain has more than a little relevant military experience in a time where military experience will continue to matter. Case in point? If Iran doesn't back off their nuclear ambitions Israel will bomb their program back into the stone age in the very near future, and this will occur sure as the sun rises in the East regardless of anyones personal feelings on the issue. In that increasingly likely eventuality the proverbial **** will hit the fan, the US will eventually become involved....likely militarily....regardless of who is President potentially leading to full blown war. We currently have two choices as to who will be holding the reigns of the American war machine for the next four year. Again, I'll take McCain.

3: Despite a slow economy Obama can't stop talking about raising taxes promising, more or less, to stick it to the rich. This statement shows one of two things.

a: an utter lack of knowledge as to how economies and/or taxes work, or more likely.......

b: an unabashed willingness to pander to the baser fears of people genuinely worried about the future, promising things he knows that he cannot deliver in the process, to get elected. Not surprising, but disappointing to say the least and the 'tax the rich' thing has just gotten old for me.

I didn't need to go past those three things to make my decision. McCain isn't my dream candidate, but he is preferable to the alternative.

+1 (I am agreeing with you!)

Obama's economic policy is borderline dangerous for our country. Anyone that is supporting Obama, please read his policy closely then pickup a college level economics book and draw your own conclusions. Read up on Obama’s Global Poverty act and what it really means to YOU (the taxpayer). Obama’s policy is disastrous for American business and the economy. A lot of what he discusses is close to Marxism.
