According to reports on all the major news networks this morning, Barack Obama's campaign headquarters has issued a statement to cease all distribution of campaign signs in Alabama. According to the statement, the Obama campaign has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to replace campaign signs that keep disappearing all over the state. Upon further investigation, it became apparent why this is happening.

They are both unAmerican scum and will both be utter disasters for America and when I say unAmerican I mean it literally. The constitution is America and defines America. In fact almost every single elected or appointed federal politician or judge has violated the constitution and are unamerican and a vote for any one of them is unamerican stop the madness vote for the constitution vote for America vote against every current elected official and demand they replace almost every sitting judge.

Aside from the impending Doom....er, I mean Election. The REAL problem is Congress....EVERY politician in D.C. is too busy fighting each other to do what really needs to be done for this country....Nancy Pelosi is a tyrant with her own agenda to stop ANY progress that does not fit into her own personal agenda. The problem with Politics in D.C. is that you don't get more good apples by putting them in a barrel of rotten ones.

Proof positive by Congress leaving for their "Vacation" without addressing the energy issues put in front of them....they could care less about anyone but themselves or their self serving agendas...everything has turned into "Republicans vs. Democrats" and nothing else matters.

As far at the presidential race goes....it's definitely picking the lesser of evils and has been for many years now but our choices only get worse every 4 years. The problem is that unless you have MILLIONS of dollars, you don't have a snowballs chance of running so it's left to the well to do professional politicians.

As far as voting...I wouldn't vote for Obama if you paid me and it has nothing to do with his race...although it is sad that he is playing the race card. If Colin Powell was up for election I'd be voting for an African American so it's the individual and not the skin color that I and most I know base decisions on. Obama is a professional politician and nothing more....he talks about change but never says WHAT change other than the fact that he wants to do the typical thing of raise taxes and spend money. You have to look behind the hot air speeches and look at his record, his history and his educational upbringing if you want to see who this man really is. That doesn't mean that McCain is "The man" it just means that I feel from my research that he is the lesser of evils.

Regardless of who you want to vote for....look beyond fancy talk and speeches and research the candidates....only then can you make an INFORMED decision of who the lesser evil really is....the information and historical voting records are there and speak more volumes than the hype being put forth every time they speak.

The MAIN issue is ALL politicians in Washington.....not just the president. We have a HUGE problem here but it's going to take people to get involved and not just sit back and watch in order to effect change for the better for this country. The approval rate of Congress right now is the lowest in HISTORY at 9%....that is pitiful and really speaks volumes as to the current seat holders who really are a "do nothing congress".

But most importantly....VOTE!!! You can't complain if you don't vote and while one vote may not seem to make a difference....added up they do!

As far as this thread goes....let's keep it above board....Religious and Political threads can easily get out of hand and if this one does it will get locked so let's not let it sink into that state.

I'm guessing it's just stragegy to gain experience and appear qualified. I haven't verified the story, but I was half paying attention to the news and I think that was his first time over there. (correct me if I'm wrong) It'd be hard to compete w/ McCain on foreign affairs and war strategy when you've never been to such a volitile part of the globe. I remember seeing McCain in the sand several times before.

Do it. I'm not a big Libertarian supporter, but the Republocrats in office now need to fear for their jobs a little so that maybe they'll start paying attention to the people who they're supposed to represent.

Yes, it is strategy....EVERYTHING he does now is for a photo opportunity or to "appear" as though he is qualified....just like a professional politician would do. He has done an amazing job to get where he is now but that only means he played the political cards the right way and not that he is actually qualified for the job he is seeking.

Here is one BIG problem I have with BOTH candidates right now....but more so with Obama than McCain since I have seen McCain actually travel for his current office duties....and that is that they are spending ALL this time campaigning yet they are still being paid for a job that they are quite obviously NOT performing. They travel everywhere in search of the presidential election yet they are still being paid for a job they can't possibly perform while doing this. It just strikes me as wrong.

I also have a problem with Obama not visiting the injured while over in Germany....since there was not option of a photo op he declined....a genuine person would have gone anyway IMO.

Really though this election comes down to qualifications...or who is actually MORE qualified for the position and you have one person with actual experience and another with MINIMAL experience....although maybe Obama stayed at a Holiday Inn Express one night in which case I guess I am wrong about his experience level.

Ofcourse you also have to look deeper....in that who is surrounding these people to advise them and help them make good decisions. The VP selection will tell us more but you have to look deeper than that. Part of their qualifications to hold this office are based on those who they choose to surround them during their term and help him make informed decisions.
