They keep talking about a guy named Jacob who is above Ben. As for the planes coming down its not planned. Remember in season 2 when Desmond was following the guy that took him to the hatch. That guy told him about pushing the buttons then tried to take off in Desmonds boat. Desmond went after him and accidently killed him but while he was out he forgot enter the numbers. The magnetic pluse released from not entering the numbers is what brought the plane down.

 

I think the island has something to do with a Lost civilization. Something along the lines of the Lost City Of Alantis. That might explain all the cures to people aliments and the big stone foot that was seen at the end of season 2.

 

****it, see I haven't been able to see all the seasons....I was in europe for both seasons and was only able to get the first few episodes from season one...

 

OK I was tending to a sick dog and missed parts of tonight's episode. Were Sawyer and Kate together again? Do we have a clue as to who jumped from the chopper?

 

well it SHOULD have been desmonds GF/fiance....BUT it was not...however the female he saw, knew his name., that was the end.....

he saved charlie from an arrow he was supposed to die from and he believes that's why it wasn't her he found. kate got jealous that the doc and the other doc were all but smoozin. that's what caused her jumpin sawyer. and sawyer figured it out, so he basically said "you don't have to use me freckles, all you have to do is ask" that's the last they spoke during the episode....

Did anyboyd catch the Picture in the head monks office??? Well incase you didn't it was a pic of the head monk dude with the old lady from Desmonds previous flashback in London. Not a huge deal but just throwing it out there. I can't wait to find out who the fugly looking helicopter lady is. The preview for next week looks pretty action packed.

I don't know why saving charlie would have any affect on who the person hanging from the tree was. They had already fallen from the sky when he saved charlie. Maybe it was some kind of spy for penny? They did have a satelite phone, and maybe she knew it was desmond because of the picture?? Or maybe he would have gone in a different direction(other than the two they did scout in) if charlie would have died and found penny hanging from a different tree??

It couldnt of had been Penny, because she had fallen from the plane before Charlie was supposed to die.

I was very surprised to see the Russian! I didn't know it was able to heal wounds.
I don't remember Sayid saying anything about his gunshot wound healing faster than normal.

I think Desmond let go of the russian because he promised he would. simple as that

As for the outside world "finding" the wreckage outside of the island, I think the "others" were able to cover it up

the creator's of Lost lied to us and the Island IS some sort of heaven/alternate universe that the passengers were able to "slide" through.

 

there's a theory.

 

Five bucks says the Others sent 'Dharma' or the company news of the plane crash (via the Flame Station)... and to cover it up, saying that it was found, no survivors..

This way no rescue would be sent out, and there wouldn't be a chance of outside agencies finding the island. Or they actually did stage another actual plane crash.... but I i'd go with A) .... company coverup to stop rescue


as for Mikhail... probably wasn't dead, and the island healed his wounds...

 

I've been reading spoilers that say were going to find out who heck Jacob is within the next couple of episodes.

 

I'm sure of that...I'm still thinking that locke has been in it since the beginning. he pushed mikhail into the sonic thing on purpose to make it so he could escape is my theory, he knew the sonic thing wouldn't kill him but he would appear to be dead.
