Lost Season 3 Discussion
I swear if someone I like dies, I will quit watching the show....
..Well, maybe I won't quit watching, but I'll be very, very MAD!!!!

Absolutely he would. And possibly some French as well. And I suspect he said he was Syrian because during World War I, the League of Nations granted France mandates over Syria and Lebanon, after which it was not uncommon for the indigenous peoples there to be quite familiar with French.
Someone I know who is close to this show told me that if you want some clues - very convoluted clues, mind you - about the overriding story behind Lost, go back and watch the original Star Trek episode, "The Cage".
Which is sort of ironic given that J.J. Abrams is directing the next Trek feature.

Doe anyone else think that Locke's father is also the man that conned Sawyer's parents? Connections, connections, connections....
Don't know if anybody else got this but when Tom comes to tell Ben about Kate and Sayid he says "Boston and Jerah are here I don't know how they found us." He never said Kate and Sayid. So I wonder if the others have their own names for the losties. For those of you that don't have Tivo you can replay the episode here.

BTW-I've looked to see if anyone on the lost fan site and forums caught this and haven't seen anything on it.

Ya, I liked it too, I'm just worried about next week!!
That was interesting episode. It didn't do much for the overall story arc but interesting nonetheless. I wonder why Paolo didn't say anything if he knew the others were after Jack? I suppose he'd have to explain how he knew might give away that he'd been in the Pearl and questions might be asked. (Pearl? Is that right? Sorry, I'm getting the hatches confused)
Ya it's the pearl.
It was a great episode! Kinda creepy ending though!
I'm sure last night's episode will play a role somewhere in the future, so I guess it wasn't really meaningless.

I thinks Locke's quote about "nothing stays buried on this island" is a bit of foreshadowing...
I actually think I may have cracked the mystery behind the island. I'm sorting through it in my head now, but so far my theory does explain just about everything that has happened.
It's actually remarkably straightforward - perhaps it has been mentioned on the Lost forum sites, but since I don't visit them, I don't know.
When I sort it through, I will write up a feature piece about it on our new website (coming soon).

My daughter just found something interesting: if you search the iTunes for "lost soundtrack", you get 108 results (and none of them have anything to do with "Lost"). As most of you know, the button in the hatch had to be pressed every 108 minutes and the sum of all the lottery numbers Hurley played (4 8 15 16 23 42) add up to 108.

It was VERY interesting!! Why did they all leave? Is Locke someone now??

Very good episode
