Its the best thing ever invented.
Through my travels, you can only get it made correctly in the south. Basically, its brewed tea with a LOT of sugar in it and a lemon wedge. Luzianne is my favorite brand.

 

Anniversary.......This year its dinner at Stix and wings and wheels during the day. And the county fair too.For once, I don't desire a present.

No it does not come bottled.
And don't even bother with the bottled lipton crapola. It SUX! That isn't tea. That's gross.

It comes in bags. to make a gallon you throw in 8 bags(or 4 large), boil a little bit of water(a saucepan full), steep it for a couple hours, remove the bags and throw in 2 cups of sugar.

And they do not have it up north, which is one of the reasons I no longer go north if I don't have to.

I tried Captain Ds Baskets for lunch today also They just added fried pickles to the menu as well(why I went there) I LOVE FRIED PICKLES!!!!!!

My immediate need: Popcorn with kraft topping on it.

 

Catfish, fried okra, pinto beans, sliced 'maters, corn bread (the real stuff, made in a cast iron skillet not that Jiffy mix crap) and Mello Yello.

Sacrilige!!!! Sweet tea is not made in a Mr. Coffee Ice Tea maker, it's boiled on a stove. Leave it to a displaced yankee to steer y'all wrong about sweet tea. Of course, if you ask 10 different southerners how to make it, you'll get 10 different answers but I'll bet you that at least 9 of those, if not all 10, will tell you to boil it.

 

I didn't have time to make it all proper today!! I am up to my butt in resumes down here and no end in sight . So I had to half do it- It tastes like Tea, but its not primo.

Well the part you cant find to make it at least.

 

A challenge: I challenge ANYONE to go north of Pennsylvania and go in somewhere and ask for sweet tea....You get that lipton fountain crap that smells like tomcat pee.

The trick is- ask for UNSWEET tea. The gooberheads up there don't realize sweet tea is just their unsweet tea with sugar in it.
