Hot Rod Mentality
Most of us on this forum would consider ourselves car people. We mod our cars to work better, look better, or just be ours. Do you mod all your things? Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go seems to apply to every hobby.
What do you hot rod besides cars?

My computers. My rifles too, if reducing trigger pull, using match ammo and high-quality glass can be considered "hot-rodding"...

That's exactly what I mean. I tend to hot rod all of my stuff. I can never leave well enough alone. I think firearms are a big one. It seems like a lot of car people are gun people. Action jobs, trigger jobs, custom stocks and grips, and custom finishes can empty an about as fast as a new suspension or supercharger.
Everything that I own. Car, work truck, bicycle, weedeater, lawn mower, misc stuff around the house. Nothing stays stock. I usually buy things that I like but could be better. Not many things I buy are perfect right out the box.
