Toyota gets nailed...

You may never be in a accident in your life
And again, the report was done very recently. Like I said last year, safety was not the most important factor to most people but according to the report more and more people have insisted that safety is the most important issue. With all of the large vehicles on the road I couldn't agree with them more. Safety is not something you can gamble with. You only have one life to live and once that is extinguished theres no going back.

Thats not something I would want to bank on, especially with loved ones in the car.

Well, we'll see what happens over the next five critical years. I, for one, hope you're right and that the domestic carmakers can turn the ship around 180 degrees, and I do agree with you that you don't turn a big ship around 180 degrees overnight.
I'm just wondering if they have the will and the wherewithall to turn that proverbial ship MORE than 90 degrees...before it's too late.

Zoran, I don't fault you at all with your priorites. I was the same way with my 87 GT. I loved it but I just didn't feel comfortable letting my wife drive it without any airbags or traction control or ABS. Thats just one of the reasons I upgraded. Though I really shouldn't talk with the way I drive sometimes when I'm late for work. No excuse for that
