Pretty cool but I don't like the scoop design. It doesn't complement the sexy body lines at all.

I wonder what the ADMs will be on that beast?

Judges?

Oh, I'm Sorry. It seems it's still a boring, derivative car riding too much on it's past heritage. Thanks for playing.

i'll bet that boxy scoop is just for testing at this point. Probably end up with something a little sexier on the production car.

Jeff, I agree,

I doubt they will show the production hood on an uncamoflauged mule

Just like with the GT500, the test mules were running around with a big blocky hood bulge on them, not the final stock hood.

My guess is that the upper scoop could be for the forced induction, with the air ducted directly into the air intake. The lower scoop may be removed in a production version; it may just be there now because its based on the Z06. Or they could just keep both and have multiple redundant scoops, like the Trans Am WS6 or Sunfire Ram Air hoods. I hope thats not the case though.

I wouldnt be surprised if that scoop is there to stay....I mean...it looks like they put a little time into desigining it...to me, its not Obviously temporary...but the way it looks...lets hope so.

Im sure the hood will get changed.

Itll definitely blow the doors off anything in it's price range, but $100,000+ is still pretty rare air for a vette...

Difference is the Mustang can be had for 1/3 the cash and doesn't look like a watered-down Italian.

The Corvette is all about speed for your buck right now... the heck with creature comforts and the sort, the people that just want power (which is many) will line up for this car, easy.

Think the hood will either be a cowl hood or have a "power bulge" for clearance. Development Mazdaspeed 3s also had a big hoodscoop that is absent on the production versions.
