So what did you think of Top Gear?

It was a good episode. Would be cool to get all three teams for a big show, England, Aussie and the States...

Few years ago Jeremy Clarkson did a "The Good The Bad and The Ugly" episode, where he compared European best cars vs American "best" cars. I would love to see Top Gear USA do the same thing, but with some real cars this time. No more "Cadillac Escalade vs Range Rover off-road" or "Dodge Ram vs Ariel Atom" or "This is a Mustang V8" (when in fact its 4.0L automatic) ...

I was thinking Mustang Boss 302 vs M3, CTS-V vs M5, Wranger vs Defender, F-150 vs Amarok, ZR-1 or Viper ACR vs 458 Italia or 911 turbo ...

how did i not say 302 v m3!?
But yea those are all good match ups. I think the vetter and italia would be a good match since theyre both street cars but of the highest level. Viper ACR and porsche gt3 would be a good much since theyre road legal track cars

Adam can't drive for crap.
And I'd believe Tanner being the Stig. If you see the US Stig, he's really short though. With a massive head.

Yep the E60 M5 recorded a time four seconds quicker that the CTS-V on the Nordschleife. On a 12.9 mile circuit four seconds difference isn't that much though. Put it on a smaller circuit and I bet it will be a hell of a lot closer.

I watched the Xmas edition of TG UK last night. Some amusing bits but, for the most part, just cringe-worthy.
We've just had the first series of TG USA shown over here and I have to say, studio bits excluded, I thought it was great. The unbiased attitude to the American cars was great and the locations made a pleasant change from Europe, that's for sure.
Stig/the News/studio bits have never been the best bit of TG for me. The road trips are what it's about. No need to prat around like the 3 stooges though. I'm happy to hear about great cars in great locations driven by enthusiasts!
Looking forward to the 2nd series
