At least the idiot didnt hit anyone else. Driving a supercar at limits on public roads, he deserves to be mauled by the car.

Hopefully he's alright.

When will people learn that they’re NOT professional race car drivers and that public streets aren’t racetracks. What a putz...

Back in 1983, when Silicone Valley IPO's were the latest rage, my brother was stationed in Monterey. On the afternonn of the latest company going public, the CEO passed him in a Ferrari he had just picked up. With him was his yacht broker on their way to buy a boat. They were traveling at a huge rate of speed and about a mile down the road both died when the driver misjudged a curve and went head first into a tree.

This guy was very lucky. He could have been a contender for the Darwin Award.

NOO you fool! There are only so many of these cars being made!
Believe it or not, i once had a dream i was driving this car and that i crashed it, although that was after soaring hundreds of feet through the air over the grassy hills of scotland.

yup, i have weird car dreams. Once i met the italian cop who was driving the police guallardo, 'cept he was delivering vegetables to my grandmother's residence.

That's what braking during a fast turn will do for you. I don't need to post pics of the sidewalls of my car.

That was on the back page of the September Hot Rod and they said the GT was not yet released at the time the pic was taken.
If that is the case, it may well have been crashed by a FMC employee. Wonder how his career is panning out.........

other than the fact that the driver was in the middle of doing something incredibly stupid...what really blows me away is the apparent lack of damage for a supposedly 150mph crash. I'm sure there much more wrong with the car than meets the eye, but the structural integrity appears solid.

Dateline "Ford ensures product testing to duplicate real-world experiences; Ford GT passes first level with flying colors-- green (grass), brown (mud), yellow (daisys) and red (faced employee)."
