Did anyone ever play Motor City Online for the PC?

Maybe they thought they'd bring extra people into it to keep it around.

70 was the latest year stang in the game. they couldn't make every car, had to make most popular first.
Even though there are some that could have not been there that 71 would have been better.

And the other thing too was weight. All the parts had weight to them. So you could make your car a lot lighter than stock.
And in the car auctions you would see a standard car selling for an outrageous amount. And it was because it had a rare part installed. You couldn't buy it anywhere else. Also with rare parts were rare paints. The rare ones were "rust buckets" and stickered. I forget what we really called them. Race Paint basically. But was funny to see rusted camaros and mustangs to sell a lot better than standard painted one.
I miss the game. Someday there will be another one just as good. But probably not for a while.

ah man. that takes me back. lol. My system at that time couldn't really handle the interface. there was always some lag between the menus. If the game was still running today, my machine would be able to popup whatever I wanted, before I even knew I wanted it. LOL

I played GT5 online for a little bit. Sucked that most everybody used the same car on daytona. And really sucked if you got stuck in last place to start off with, because the noobs in front, don't know how to keep a line. Or try to block, when you're obviously faster than them.
IMO they need a handicap for the last place guys and people bumped into a bad situation. More than once I got a little frustrated when some pinhead would use my car as a bumper to negotiate that really slow S turn on the back side of the Fuji track, I would go straight into the wall and have to hit reverse to get away and back onto the track will the other guy gets a 5 second penalty compared to my 15 second recovery. Occassionally you could be bumped into the grass and get a shortcut penalty as well. Otherwise I enjoyed the racing.

I ran into a few who did a good job, but there are alot of bump and crashers there (fortunately for the really reckless ones if the game detects a really erratic situation it will ghost the car so that the knucklehead driver only effects themselves).

Yeah, but the Ghost is not perfect. A lot of time, the person would be all over the place, and they would ghost, and then when I get right up on them to pass, they would un-ghost causing me to crash. Happened way too many times. They need to program a rule that a car cannot unghost within a close proximity to another car.
Found a thread that people posted a lot of MCO photos on.
