Got bad news guys......
check next post to see what it is.....whats the bad news?
This week i spoke with a friend of mine that does car overhaulin...... he has done quite a few 'Stangs and he's the owner of a beautiful 1967 Shelby GT350.....It has always been my dream of owning a vintage 'Stang, so i'm in the process of having him rebuild a 1969 Mach1 351windsor, shaker, candy apple, 4 speed Hurst and Magnum 500 wheels.....I will have the motor stroke just a bit with a wilder cam as well.....just to be in the ball park of 350-370 HP......want to keep it as stock as possible.....i will not get it until the winter of 2006, but i'm willing to wait that long......i know that the '05 Stang is a great car, but i had a decision to make.....i taught that if i was gonna wait for a SE, which will probably not show up before the end of 2006, and have to pay $50000cdn for it....without taking into consideration the depreciation value of the car the first year.... So, i decided to go ahead with the Mach....will keep you up to date on the restoration of the car......besides i will also have those two fog lights in the front grill too...

Hopefully the salt will be gone here in T.O. by April.
My salesman Steve gave me his first allocation for Feb. for my
Satin Silver Vert which should arrive by the beginning of April.
The only problem is he keeps trying to write in sCEAMING yELLOW.
go figure. lol
Hopefully i will get a vin# by Friday and a build date by the following tuesday.
I got her fully loaded except for Shaker 1000. Seeing how 3d carbon's boy racer hood isn't in production, i told Steve to order me a 2nd hood for me to produce it myself. Still debating wether to get black or red stripes to match the red leather.
Getting the dupli-colour caliper kit with mustang decals and hood pins(real ones lol).
To be honest with you guys, here in woodbridge, i have only seen 2 '05 stangs.
Both are red. Otherwise i havent seen any driving around.
Hope the ones that have arrived are being enjoyed to the fullest.
Even though some of them are yellow.

Does it count if my order was placed by a Ford dealer in Montreal even though I am based in Switzerland ?
2 GTs (1 black and 1 silver) fully loaded but Shaker 500 instead of 1000.
Dealer said I might get them arround end of April but after what I've seen on some posts here I think I should better expect them arround May
P.S. Thanks to RickyD for its help on getting precious info

I live in Wolfville and the only 05's I have seen were in showrooms
Boy, my sincere apologies to everyone!!! I don't think I've been into the Canada forums till this morning. So I'll be checking in regularly, can't wait for the good weather to hit S. Ont. and meet up with some of you guys.
Till then, I'm praying for heat

Don't worry Mark .
The canadian section is reeeeeealy quiet.
I dont think many stangs, let alone verts, were sold in canada. lol
I feel like i'm the only one who ordered a vert.. (ooops, sorry tigger)
And yes, would be nice to round up a bunch of us for a meet.
You should take a ride down to yonge and dundas square on the 29th and see them give me my vert!!!
Uh oh........calendar says I'm off. Might just do it if the weather holds up. Are those nice Ford PR people going to give us preferred parking or is it just your beauty that'll get the kid glove treatment???
Let me know if you get a chance.
Thanks Simon - Mark

Hopefully the weather does hold up. But then there would probably be more "exposure" having snow drifts in the convertibles.
Just kidding Simon. It is top down - weather (and new owner) permitting.
It will be a closed event. Ford has invited two representatives from each participating dealership.
Yonge/Dundas Square is a public area, so you will be able to see the convertibles, but the festivities are only for the participants.
But I am sure Simon will tell you all about it!
