Hi,

I would love some help.

Have any canadian customers tried to call ERL from Canada?

I understand that the Canadian dealer codes are a little different. We have a letter, and then 4 numbers.

A1234

I understand that there is a slightly different process for accessing the ERL using the canadian dealer codes.

Can anyone help me with the 5 digit code based on the 4 digits?

Thanks..

I know some people from Canada have accessed the ERL. I am in the same boat as you, I have searched this site for the answer but no luck so far. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thumbs down

Yes i can shed some light on this

after checking with my friend who is the sales manager for a ford dealer and with the erl analyst themselves

i can say for sure once and for all

canadians cannot use the automated system to check their order

You can however ask to speak to an analyst and they can put in the canadian dealer code and look up your oder.

NOTE (must pretend to be the dealer as im sure your aware)

but no unfortunately no automated system for us canadians

However the other option you do have is calling ford of canada customer service

they too can look up your order

WARNING!!! however
the ford of canada customer service people for the most part are idiots(no joke)
and are not aware that they can do this
i have to argue almost every time i call so it might not be worth it

they do have the ability to look up your status using either the vin number
or your dealer code, body code, and order number

1-800-565-3673 option 1, then option 3 then enter your phone number then option 3 again

But be warned you might have to put up a fight for htem to look it up
i've argued with them many times and told them they can look it up and they tell me they cant and then they check with their superviser and then they look it up

infact today when i called ford of canada customer service i was told for security purposes they werent allowed to give me my status information

But heck its worth a try as no automated system so those are the choices

let me know if you guys had any other questions

My Dealer told me that my build date was may 15th and my car was actually built on the 5th. I was impatient and don't think he would have told me this if he wasn't being informed from Ford.ca So hang in there you car might have already been built.
