Awesome Justin,
We have been in the looking mode for Karen. We need to replace her 98 Explorer in the next year or so. We went to go look at the 2011 Explorer since they are new from the ground up but couldn't find one yet. They are supposed to hit the dealers by Feb. So why are they called 2011? We won't purchase until the 2012's are out. She really likes the Edge also. Ford has a lot of great products.

The new Explorers sure look nice. Have you also considered looking at the new Edges? They aren't as big, but if you don't need all that room or three rows of seats they would make a good alternative.
I got the car for a bit over 17k after 3k in rebates, and they're throwing in a remote start since I bought the paint protection/undercoating package. It goes in Thursday morning for that, and I'll pick it up Friday morning since I work afternoon/evening. Overall, a nice deal, and they were able to get me a good low financing rate too.

Since we haven't been able to see an 11' Explorer as of yet she doesn't have anything to compare the Egde too. She really likes the new Egdes. We need either a AWD or 4WD vehicle for her since we live in the country and blowing and drifting snow is an issue out here. The Edges seem to be priced about the same as the Exlorers but are smaller.
Both the new Explorer and Edge are fantastic vehicles. Just depends how much room you want.
Not sure why they're '11 models, but I wouldn't let that deter you from buying one. I sat in one (Explorer) at Woodward this past year and they were great. MyFordTouch is a great system, and I can't wait to see that ported into the Mustang.

It is black with a black interior. I would have preferred silver or gray exterior, but the one silver car they had was the light gray interior, would have showed dirt really bad later on. I like the black interior much better.
Go Bears! That was an awesome game, they just kept shutting down Seattle's offense.

Yeah winter started on Dec. 3rd down here and hasn't let up yet. And we are under a winter weather advisor for Thursday and Friday again. 5-8 inches. BLAHH....
there has only been 2 days since Thanksgiving where we have NOT had snow on the ground.
It started november 12th here and will likely go through march.
