What's up whoredogs?? Never told anyone but I quit my job of 19+ years 6 weeks ago. The owner of the company was getting way to greedy and demanding that I do creative accounting things to over charge customers. $100-$120/hour wasn't enough anymore. I refused on more than one occasion in the past 3 months and it finally came to a head. Quit without a job in today's enviroment? Yeap ...and it felt good. Thank the lord the wifey has a good job. Started a new job last week for a German metal stamper in the Dayton area as toolroom manager. They have a plant in Germany, France, China and Dayton. Looks like I may be going to Germany for sure early next year and maybe China in March. Not really thrilled about that trip. I just need about 4 more years to get me too retirement. Than I'm applying for a Walmart greeter job.

Thanks Guys. And Darrell I pulled my passport out of the lockbox last week and it's good until 2015. I haven't quite a job like that since like 1982 when you could afford to be cocky in my trade. I told him to just lay me off to end both of our misery. He said 'NO". Then fire me!! He again said "NO". If you are going to leave your going to have to quit he says. No problem I reply. I will be back in the morning to clear out. 15 minutes later he wanted to chat. I told him unless he changed his mind and was going to lay me off or fire me we didn't have anything to talk about. Have'nt spoken to him since. I really believe everything usually works out for the best for a reason.

Scott,
Great news on the job
Is this the place you had told me about earlier?
Good luck & hope it works well for you. I'm sure you'll wow them at this place.
Not a comfortable feeling being without work @ our age

Hi Larry,
Yes this is the place I was interviewing with when you were here. And your right about the age issue. While it is never suppose to be a question that is asked I am sure that if they know my plans are to retire in 4 years @ 62 they would have passed me by.

HAPPY THANKGIVING EVERYONE~~~
