Midwest TMS'ers General Communication Thread
THIS IS DEFINITIVELY POSITIVE THINKING........
Two old drunks were sitting in a bar when the first one said, "Ya know, when
I was thirty and got an erection, I couldn't bend it, even using both hands.
By the time I was forty, I could bend it about ten degrees if I tried really hard.
By the time I was fifty, I could bend it about forty five degrees, no problem.
I'm gonna be sixty next week and now I can bend it in half with just one hand."
"So," said the second drunk, "what's your point?"
"Well, I'm just wondering how much stronger I'm gonna get."

Is anyone here in the midwest interested in buying my car? I think I'm going to have to sell it, planning to put it as much back to stock as possible. I need the money for other things. I'll be listing some aftermarket parts in the for sale section this weekend after removing them and taking photos. The car has about 36k miles and has been taken care of quite well. This is going to be tough to do, but I am at a point where I think it is needed.
Insurance is killing me on it, and I don't drive it much, need to reduce my expenses.

Wow I sure hate to hear that Justin. But we all got to do what we got to do. It is hard for me to say but I am most likely going to sell my 70 Mach 1 this summer also.
Yes she is doing well. Back to work now for about 5 weeks. She will get a Pet Scan ($5000) in March to see if she is cancer free.
Really..Really..Really sick of winter. -7 last night here

Definitely under consideration. Selling it solves several things in my world. First, we are going to get a new car for the wife later this year so by selling the 70 I buy new without any payment. And second the garage that she is in is all insulated and finished drywalled. We are looking to turn this space into home offices for both me and the wifey. So if anyone is looking...she is a beauty and needs nothing but love.
Wow Scott.... You must REALLY love your wife ....
I'm just sayin.... You'd sell your car to get her one? I'd hope she loves you enough to not allow you to do that.

Ha Ha ha...Well Cody. She loved me enough to let me buy it in the first place.
This is the second restored classic Stang we had over the years. She had a 65' GT Vert that was as nice as my Mach 1. Problem with cars of really, really great quality is you don't, can't or won't drive them very much because you can cause them to lose value. She loved me enough that we sold her 65' Vert and bought my 05 Vert because I promised I would even drive it in the rain.
I will post a pic of the 65' if I can find it. Just to tell you how little my 70 Mach ever has been driven. I have owned it for 8-9 years. It has never even been wet in that time. Not even ever washed. I swear!! It has never had anything but a California duster and Mequires quik detailer used on it.

Interesting question. It has been appraised at $42,000 for insurance coverage. I'd probably let her go for mid $30's but no lower. If she was a 428 car instead of a 351C car she be worth $75-80K right now. Wonder if that guy who has his 07 GT500 with only 52 miles up for sale would want to trade?
