Chris is right. This is the easiest way to see if there is a leak around the TB.
Cody if you don't understand here's how it works. Start you car and let it idle. Spray ether (starting fluid) lightly around the TB elbow. If the engine revs up some ether is getting through and you found your leak. Very easy.

No use for the shifter... Howerver there was a glitch in the CAI. It seems that the elbow is a little warped on the throtle body end and they are concerned about it leaking. They installed it anyway and dynoed it without a problem. I took a look at it and I think it should be fine, but I'll kep an eye on it.

It drives like a different car.. BUt I do have a concern about its ideling. It has died on me 4 times becuase the car struggles to idle. The tach bounces a bit from 500 to 1000 rpm slowly and will die when I puch in the clutch or in nutral. THis happed while I was trying to make a turn and my brakes and steering went out. I was totally freaked! I almost crashed. Is this in the tune or is it the CAI leaking? It runs really strong except for the idle.

MMMM only off by 1 HP.

Cody look at the ends of the elbow, if they have any mishape (not a perfect oval) take a Heat gun or Hair dryer and heat it up and rebend the ends to a better shape. I had to do this to my Carbon Fiber elbow about every month till I got rid of it.

If lightening hits you on Sunday, you will know why!!!!!

They didn't give me any baseline numbers...

I can see exactly where I think it is leaking. Its right on the top above the C&L logo. There is a dip.

if it's a plastic could you not use a tortch or heat up like a putty knife to rub/melt & fill a tinsy hole ?
those Mass Air flow sensors here are like $285.00 so careful with that .

I don't think that would work. I don't think its warped..I think its weak. As in, it doesn't happen unless you tighten in up and then it gives a little.

I have no doubt it worked worked fine for you Gary... I trust you.

Well, I'm in church. I gotta go Worship the Lord now. seeya!

Don't worry Cody. Although it's frustrating right now, these little things happen to all of us who mod our cars a little. You'll have it straightened out and will be enjoying your car like never before very soon.

After tomorrow the weather is supposed to get pretty nasty for the rest of the holiday week. They even have the dreaded four letter word in the forecast. S***
