Morning guys,
Well you guys to the west got all the rain and we got all the wind yesterday. Power at the house went out at 1:30 yesterday and was still out at 5:30 this morning. They said over 100,000 customers are without power over here. My weather station registered a peak wind of 57 mph at 2:00 pm. We lost 2 -40 foot tall pines and a Bradford pear tree at least. Some aluminum fascia came off of the house also. I guess that was Ike blowing thru.
Karen was loading up all of our coolers to go find ice to try and save stuff in the freezer and frig. They say it could be a couple of days yet without power because a bunch of the line crews headed south toward Texas to help out down there.

Hope you get hooked up soon Scott.
We clocked 75mph winds @ Columbus Int'l. No rain, but lots of people without power. 5-8 days before everybody is back up near where I work.
We were lucky, only lost power for a few hours here.
Can't believe I didn't have any trees come down. Neighbor lost 1.

Hi Guys,
Well day 2 without power at home. Took all the frozen stuff to a friends last night and have 4 big coolers with ice for most of the other stuff in the frig. Threw the rest in the trash this morning. Karen and I went into the YMCA this morning at 5:30 am to take a shower. Guess we will do that every morning until we get power. They are saying it maybe not be until over the weekend. I went 4 places last nite looking for a generator. No luck. They claim there is a shortage nationwide because of the Gustuv and Ike. Guess we will just tough it out. Little other choice. At least we still have a roof over our heads.

Morning guys,
You too Nick!
Going into day 3 without power. They said on the radio this morning there is still about 180,000 houses without power still. They claim they got about 25,000 homes back up over night. Maybe soon. And thanks for the offer Tom but one of the guys at work brought in a small 1000 watt generator today that I am going to take home to at least run the frig with. He got his power back last night.
