I was a bit surprised that they were not louder being gutted. I like the sound now - I suppose the only mod left to do (if I get the urge) is to open them back up and put a pipe inside that connects the inlet and the out let. And really, that would be nothing more than making my own SLP Loudmouths.
And to further that thought, if I perforated the pipe somewhere in the middle, that my quiet them down a little. I ran out of wire on the welder, so that is the only thing stopping me at the moment.

Hey, got a question for you guys. Oh..and you too STD. I have about 25K miles on my car and am concerned about the spark plug breakage issue. So I am thinking I at least need to pull them and at least clean the stockers and put antiseize on them. But this would be a good time to upgrade to a 1 piece plug. Champion, Brisk..etc. But I read good and bad about them. What is your guys feeling on the matter of our stock plugs?

I have mixed feelings on this. Of course I've been running Autolite HTOs for over a year now since I went FI, but they too are a 2 piece plug. I don't think the problem is really as big as it seems...... just my 2 cents anyway. Kinda like the dead battery thing..... mine is still strong after 3 years now but I know it will fail eventually...... when it does, I'll probably buy another stock unit. Optima batteries are awesome, but the stocker has worked very well for me so why change.
