That's pretty good! I like that!

I noticed you've been posting on the 2010 Mustang thread. Are you planning on getting one? Or maybe a 2011 with the 5.0 liter V8?

2011 at the earliest. It'll be hard to fight to the urge when the 5.0 returns.

Yeah, I know what you mean! I hope it has diect injection when it comes out. That way, it might pretty good gas mileage.

Plus, 400 HP!

I'm starting to like how the interior looks too. At first I wasn't too thrilled, but the latest sneak peak photo looks great! We'll see the real thing in a couple of weeks. Should be interesting to see!

Wrecked out

I hope I'm the only one with bad luck for our cars, so I took it Saturday going around a corner. The back end broke loose. I managed to recover initially, but then when the rear swung back, I couldn't regain control and spun around to slide into that fence.

Take her to the insurance adjuster tomorrow and hopefully soon after get her to be fixed up.

Ouch! Are you OK?

Sorry to hear about your car Ghost! I know our cars have a lot of torque. I've spun the tires just turning left just going toward work. Even with the traction control on!

I have to be carefull not to give it too much gas.

I'm sure they can fix your Pony for you. Are you going to take it back to the Five Star Body shop to have them fix it? That's where I would go, unless you know a better body shop?

Well that bites the big one! Hopefully you are okay though. Did you have TCS off or on?

TCS was on.

I'm ok and the kids are ok, too (both were in the back when it happened). They were totally fine and my back was just sore probably from tensing up on impact.

Took the car to Bob Utter Ford here in Sherman, who seem to have a good reputation. Insurance adjuster put the damage around $5000. Door, front fender, rocker panel, hood and whatever else the shop finds will have to be fixed or replaced. Should take about 2 weeks.

On the plus side, the rental company was out of compacts so they gave me a Silverado Quad cab at the compact rate, and insurance covers most of that.

I wonder if the TCS works like it should in our cars huh? It it does, then why does my car start to spin just turning left? Kind of what sounds like happened to you Ghost?

I really glad to hear that your kids are OK. I was thinking yesterday looking at the picture that you would be able to get away with just a new passenger side door? But, there must have been more damage then I saw?

But on the bright side, the 2010 Mustang comes with Electronic Stability Control. Time to trade it in?

Door's gone, no question. The antennae whipped the hood and left scratches and dents in it, plus it bent where it mounts to the front fender. Front bumper has marks/scratches where it contacted the fence post. Rocker panel at the bottom is a lost cause as well.

2010 'stang? Naw...this car has to last me a bit longer. Wife gets the next new car.

Tell her a new Mustang is much better!

You can get a really good deal on a Truck right now I bet!

Maybe the Sport Trac with the 4.6 Liter V8?

Actually the way Ford and GM are in now, I'm sure you could get a good deal on anything they make.

It might result in a good price for a 2011 GT with the 5.0 liter V8 in it?

At least that's what I'm hoping!

My patrol car got rear ended the other day with me standing next to it. Didn't even scratch the paint on it. The B-pillar hit my arm but, no damage to me either besides needing new underwear! I''m beginning to think the Police hate me since it was another Officer in the junky Charger that did it.

This all happened in the parking lot at work when we were loading our gear up. Yippee!

So you guys ran into each other in the parking lot? lol Glad to hear you weren't hurt.

There's been some pretty interesting stuff going on in the 2010 Mustang forum. I sure hope they come out with a 5.0 V8 in 2011. It might be worth it to trade then!

I got a glimse of the Space Shuttle today as I was driving home from work. It came into Fort Worth for a overnight stop. Everybody was stopping and looking at it. I didn't know what was going on at first.

Coolness Falchion!

Sorry, Tread. So...what's you're new squad car gonna be?

And on my note...I got my car back yesterday! I'll have to take some pics, but she looks great! No undercarriage damage, either. And on the positive...3.5 years of small rock chips, some marring on the front bumper from a parking lot idiot & a rocker panel scuff from a rock is now all reset. Too bad I had to hit a fence for that all to happen.
