I found a number for him - 396-4802; I believe that's his shop number. I really haven't talked to him since he got the Kenne Bell installed and tuned - just heard from my sources that he finished the install a few months ago. His shop is in Skiatook, but he does all his tuning on the dyno at Tulsa Dynojet on 11th St., just west of 169. He's a wizard on any Ford product; I'm sure he can fix your Lightning. He tuned my '05 on the dyno; freed up around 45 hp at the rear wheels (with the CAI kit). Mine's an auto, scratches rubber shifting into 2nd *and* third! Last I heard, he was supposedly first on the list at United Ford for a Shelby GT500 - bet he's got that by now.

Superchargers are good Paul, just be careful because your 8.8 rearend won't handle much past 400 horses without some beefing up. We always think about the bottom end of the motor but always forget our weak rearends. If you don't have 4:10's get them when you do the supercharger. I am personally going to see how much I can do naturally and before dealing with a supercharger. They are nice but much can go wrong. Natural aspriation is the way I want to go first.
I have heard the Archangel guy is awesome. I need him to tweak my tunes and I will probably give him a call on Monday.
I am thinking about shorty headers..what do you think? I spoke with Ford and several other guys and also read that they can add about 10-15 horses at the rear..with the Ford racing ones that is. They are supposedly just a drop in and you don't have to yank the motor to get them in.

Jeff

Really? I've have buddies running about 500hp using stock 8.8. The only dif was various gears. But gears don't beef up the rearend. They flogged the hell out of them with no problems. But I have thought about going will better axles. After seeing all the ones break at the track lately.

Hey... Who's going out to BYB tomorrow? I'm planning on it. Bring a jacket, it will be chilling out....

Jeff, I have read posts on this site about the shorty headers. Some guys have dynoed before & after the shorties and the gain was around 5 h.p. Most everybody on this site, the hardcore guys especially, recommend the long tube headers for maximum gain.
Paul, I think I will be there Tuesday.

I can't make it tonight - sorry. But, next time I can make it I want each of you to come prepared to discuss lowering springs, adjustable panhard bars, and adjustable dampers.

(I'm still thinking about installing some or all of those.)

You'll need to be twice as charming, humorous, entertaining and an encyclopedia of Mustang facts......or I'm leaving to air conditioning.

Paul won a prize tonight at the car gathering.......what a lucky guy

Since he won it is only right that he tells what his prize was...

We added about 12 new guys to the club tonight,

One was a new Shelby, only paid 25,000 over sticker...he will be the new club treasure.

You're killing me Bobby... The Shelby was cool. I offer the owner to swap motors since mine was already broke in... he didn't bite.

The prize.... They are call "Power Plus Ignitors" and sell for $30 for a V8. It appears that we have another "Tornado" type product on the market... I did a little research on them. The company is actually based out of Tulsa. They have testimonials from Chris over at Tulsa Dyno. Channel 6 did a story on them too, it plays automatically when you're on their site. These little cheesy clippy do-dads, clip on your spark plug wires and are suppose to save fuel, increase HP and Torque and all that good stuff. I'm sceptical. Here's their website. Tell me what you think guys… http://www.powerplusignitor.com/power1.htm

Kurtis Fillingim, CEO of Archangel Motorsports

[quote=groupset]I found a number for him - 396-4802; Did you or 2006gt ever get ahold of Kurtis (Fillingim at archangel motorsports)?
I talked to him a couple months ago about putting a roll bar in and then went away with the military and just got back. I've left him a couple messages, and misplaced his email. Do you have that at least?
thanks

The only times we have met thus far, unofficially of course, are Tuesday nights at Backyard Burgers. It is good to have some new people on here.

What do you mean "It is good to have some new people on here." Are you tired of us Matt? )

Blkpwr: We're just a bunch of goofy guys that enjoy our cars. The club is rather new and one of our main goals is to have fun while keeping it simple. We plan on organizing some cruises and racing events in the near future. So stay tuned. In the mean time, we invite you to join us every Tues night at Backyard Burgers for cruise night. Just look for an older balding guy with a red 2006 (that's Bob) and the rest of the gang. BTW: I'm the strikingly handsome guy in the 2006 vista blue.

What was the HP/tq gain from the tunable induction CAI and TI SCT programs to Kurtis's? I just ordered the Tunable Induction Combo.
