Where is the logic in this? Why would one state allow darker tint then another? It makes absolutly no sense what so ever.

That's government for you, never cooperating or making things logical. I can understand having a tint limit for consumer cars, but 70 percent is crazy. I think I am going to go 45 on sides, and maybe 25 on rear quarter windows. How do you think that would look?

Thanks to a link on one of the tint threads on this site, I'm going for the lowest legal limit for Tx; 25% sides, and whatever (5% my choice) on quarters and rear!

With Tx summers and the big rear window, the more I can do to keep the sun's rays out the happier I'll be! Not only cooler (temps and looks) but it'll help protect the interior.

I had a ext. cab pick-up a few years ago that I tinted myself with 20% sides/ 5% rears and loved it. No regrets.

BTW, sweet rims Satin!

ABTW, w/ my black ext., the darker tint will look smooooooooth!!!!

Yeah well, TN's limit maybe 35 all aaround but I have 5 to put on it & that's probably what I will have on it when I get it. My brother & cousin will put it on, they have experience & so, I guess I'll trust them. If the mess up then I know where they sleep Besides if I get pulled oven then I get a ticket, have it remove & go to court & have the ticket dropped. Then just have them tinted again in about 20 or so.

BTW That stinks for you guys who has a limit higher than 35. I thought 35 was too light myself, but to be limited to 70 or 50. I mean what's even the point in tinting?

Anwyoo. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays
