The dot matrix pattern cannot be tinted, the tint will not stick to it.

The front windshield has the dot matrix pattern on it and a lot of people like to tint the top 6" or so. Therefore you can't on the new Mustang due to the dot matrix pattern.

What's the maximum legal tint in MD?
EDIT: Found it online! This place says 35% all around for MD. It's got all states listed if anyone is interested.

Yeah cops will give you a blue light special on your car to test the tint color. I have heard of stories where they have removed the tint off of the car while on the road. I have always had 15% on all of my cars (5% factory, 20% aftermarket) and have been given work orders to remove whenever I got pulled over for speeding, but I never did them...oh well. Tint color shouldn't be illegal it's a retarded law. It was passed so officers can see in the back of your vehicle when they are pulling you over, how many heads are in the car...just stupid.

The windows go up and down when you open the door? is this standard on all models? What exactly is the point of it? It sounds cool...just curious

This is a well known problem with the front windshield on the Mustangs, it has nothing to do with a lack of experience.

I have 20 right now, had it done when I lived in Indiana(state law is 30 all around), now live in Florida (28% on front side, 15% on back side and back window) Never been checked for the tint. Although, in Florida its easy, just have the front windows rolled down if you get pulled over, unless they ask to you roll it up, they won't even see it.

Yes it is annoying for us, who want a nice looking car. The safety of the officers is more important though.
