Hey everyone. I have an 06 GT. As many know the earlier 05-06 had no felt in the window channels. So I added the moleskin about a year ago. Well the glue is disintegrating.

I wanted to know if I could just replace the channels with the part they use in the 07 - 09's. Do these models have the felt already installed? It is an easy fix if all I have to do is swap my channels for a newer year.

Can anyone confirm that the new Mustangs have felt included in the channel?

Yes the parts interchange. I also had mole skin installed on my 06 when I had my windows tinted. But after my dealership scratched my tint I bought the newer weather strips when I got my windows re tinted.
The Ford part numbers are FMC 8R3Z6321456A and FMC 8R3Z6321457A for the ones with felt.

my glue is melted and I'm not about to remove,clean and reinstall only to have it happen again. if the glue on these is any better and holds up to high temps,I'll get these. can anyone confirm that they hold up under these conditions?

 

Can anyone confirm if these are the same for the vert or is it a different part number? If it is a different part number due the '08-'09 vert's have the felt as well?
