Ditto.
Sure, the interiors come on...but with a little ambient light (street laps, per say) and window tint, you can't see the interior lights when they are on. It'd be nice to really be sure the car has been unlocked. Just flash all the ambers.

Ok now i'm curious.
there's GOTTA be a way to make it do this - esp if it does it on "lock" functions.
i smell winter project...

I agree with 06GT. In this day and age, I consider it a GOOD thing that my car does not announce to everyone in the parking lot: 1) that's my car right there, and 2) it is now unlocked.

Only Ford vehicles available with the autolamp feature will illuminate the headlights when unlocking them. The 500 and Fusion will do it. I think its kind of an annoying feature.

Here's something that actually does work for increasing range:
Hold your remote pressed up against the underside of your jaw (the soft part), with your mouth open. It won't increase the range a ton, but it does work to amplify the signal a bit.
Looks dumb though, so I rarely do it.

Not to hijack a thread but what is the range of your key fob? Mine seems to have a very short distance, maybe 20 feet.

I've thought about changing the batteries out in the remote, but if everyone's having the issue it must be the recieving unit that's the problem. What does that use as an antenna, anyone know?

i find the mustang to have great range - you want bad range? get a last gen Audi.
i literally would have to stand within touching range of the car to have the FOB work...i'd sometimes forget if i had locked the car and would end up having to walk all the way back just to check.
for me, the holding-the-fob-to-your-chin technique came from my audi-enthusiast friends...it was ridiculous.

I picked up my new '06 TG/blk last night. Car is in the parking lot of my office bldg today. I just tried my key fob from my 4th floor office, more that 200' feet from the car. Works just fine!
Must be the new batteries...

Having the lights blink when the car is unlocked is a good idea IMO but anything thats gonna use the battery even more I would shy away from.
