[COLOR=#840084][COLOR=#840084][COLOR=#840084]I would like to get my new 05 about the beginning of april. With some of the hold ups I'm reading about I think I should order it sometime during the first part of Jan. Does that sound right?
Here's what I'm going to order. GT premium, black on black, iup, w/spoiler, bullit rims, anti-theft, side airbags.
I work for an outfit that buys a lot of parts from the local dealer, he has promissed me invoice price!

3 months seems to be a *bit* too early. I would say 1 Feb simply because *hopefully* most of these issues should be worked out by then. If not, then might want to get it closer to 1 Jan.

Dude I'm in the exact same boat as you, April delivery. I was thinking of ordering late January and having the dealer delay delivery till then.

Ask KARPRO here on the forum as he seems to be more up to speed that anyone I know. I ordered my second one from him for April delivery.

Thanks for the reply guys. Anyone else have any idea? I've seen all kinds of different times on here, from order to delivery.

Delivery on a factory order is usually 6-8 weeks. It can be as long as 12, but 6-8 is normal.

Troy....If the time frame is not in any way dictated by finances, then I would be ordering the car now. There is a rumored price increase to take effect on the 29th, so Friday the 26th would be as good a day as any IMO. The way orders are going, you just may end up with the car as late as April anyway....but if you delay, you could be paying a higher price and not get the car until after your target date. B)

I'm going for mid to end of Jan. I actually have my car ordered, but my dealer has it set at a priority 99. It won't get scheduled with that priority.
He'll lower the priority to shoot for a mid March to April 1 delviery when he thinks it's the right time.

If you're worried about a $500 max price increase then you can't afford the car to begin with.

Is $500 going to be the max price increase? I hope so. That's not too bad. I just don't want to get it (the car) in the middle of winter, & have to drive it home in all the salt here in pennsylvania. I probably won't be driving it in the winter anyhow. But I still wondering about undercoating or rustproofing or painting it good underneath. Anyway if I wait a little while, more $ saved for a down payment & money saved not paying insurance on something setting in the garage.....

It depends on your dealers order bank and allocation. We've been taking quite a few orders with our pricing, so we're getting to the point now where an order now could put you close to spring.
