Almost all dealers are marking them up. They do it so those that come in with the gotta have it mentality will buy it and they can make some good money from them.

The dealer I bought mine from had all of the 6's marked up 5k. They knew I was serious about buying one and the first thing we discussed was this bs market adjustment.

We started negotiating after the markup was gone. I all comes down to how you approach them you start with an attitude that's what your gonna get back.

You show them you are serious about buying it and treat them with respect it can get you what you want.

Just my opinion.

Funny, Silver has been around for a year... earlier this year he talked about how he had an 05, now he is complaining about not being able to get one?

Hmmm, must investigate more.

Thanks everyone for keeping a cool head, and not giving this guy a thrashing. The membership here is TOP NOTCH

Oh, for Silver... I got my car for $84 over invoice. GT with just about everything, for around $26k. Yes, I saw those dealerships price gouging, I just make sure not to purchase from them. All it takes is some patience, and some research.
I never knew silverbull had an 05? I will let you know though, that most of the threads that he has participated in have been him bashing the 05 or talking about how he smokes 05s in his Mach 1. He did the same thing a few months back on Stangnet, when I use to post there and he has always come off as having a pretty crappy attitude.

By the way silverbull, the crew here at the mustangsource are pretty much level headed and very helpful, I don’t think the term snobs fits us well. You don’t have to pay MSRP or mark ups if you don’t want to, but you will have to look harder. I would send you to Bell Ford in Colonia, where I got my stang from, I paid MSRP, but their service has really gone down the crapper. Good luck in your search.

This is a direct quote from Silverbull271 made on November 10, 2004 @ 4:41 PM:

No way am i trying to offend you
I actually have an 05 GT Black Red leather shaker 1000
what gets me mad is that people just buy a car so other people an look at them and think they are hot poo!

DRIVE your car and dont worry about eveyone else....Be safe!

As for my Mach....The Mach has more power!
But i love my 05!

Took both cars to the track here in oldbridge NJ.....

Mach...13.2
05 GT 14.0

Both cars BONE stock with under 1K miles

Like i said before....if you want people to turn heads....either drive around NAKED
or buy opne of those CLOWN cars!

Dont buy a 05 GT to turn heads.............
Buy it to drive it
I don't get it either. Does he or doesn't he have an '05?

Or for that matter does he even have a Mach
less than 1k miles is unbelivable to me like he said
a car is made to be driven.
But then again if you dont have a drivers license you can't really drive.

See, now he is just coming off as someone full of BS. He used to talk all the time about how he could afford to drive so and so vehicle and how his Mach 1 was way better than any 05. I love Mach 1s, but he's always had a terrible attitude, at least from what I can tell from his posts.
