Wanna Buy a Foose?

IMO the car is ugly. Im not into the CS striping and stuff. I have no issues with the way the car comes off the assembly line, looks wise. Thats my opinion. If this is a true Ebay ad and not your typical BS then the woman is a "cant understand normal thinking" kind of person, should learn to spell before she places adds on Ebay, and will get what she deserves someday.

I think everyone is upset because of the nature of the sale of this car.
People petition the show because someone they know treasures a car and hasn't had the time/luck/or fortune to modify it.
It seems that the majority of people here feel as if this car wasn't modified for someone who wanted to have a car all their own, but rather get 15 minutes of fame and make a quick buck.

If you guys think anyone with a dissenting opinion is a troll, then go ahead and call me one as well :P I think the car looks like something a teenaged guy would drive, I can't imagine this appealing to any woman. I think Foose completely and totally missed the mark. He built it for himself, not this woman. Perhaps she was ungrateful, but perhaps that wasn't it at all and this was more like one of those room makeover shows where you're like "What the heck did you do to my room???" LOL!

Chip has a fairly passionate following, and to realise that the tears that that woman shed on the show was for the $'s she was counting from the sale of the car has upset some of them, and rightly so.
I don't think the spirit of the show is "we'll remake your car, you turn it around for a quick buck".

They should stick to the people that don't have the cash, resources or
"real car people" as Galaxie said. The husband was a tool, they shouldn't have made it on the show, and he didn't know what his wife liked/wanted, or they were sitting there one day and said "Hey let's get on overhaulin' so we can make a quick buck".
I think this thread is out of control!

That wasn't Overhaulin! That was Tuner Transformations! And they turned it into a stage 3 Roush.
What is Ridiculous is that the women who got OVERHAULED had no sob story and on top of that TOOK THE PLACE OF SOMEONE WHO WOULD OF GIVEN THERE RIGHT ARM TO EVEN HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED FOR THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!! The Husband seems like a Pr@ck anyways!!!

I knew it wasn't Overhaulin. I just couldn't remember the name of the other show. It just seemed like that guy wasn't a real car guy cause he didn't even recognize a S/C when he saw it..

Well, If I won any of these contests where they give away a 1966 shelby worther over 100k or a Ford GT, I would turn around auction it in a NY minute too. I probably would of sold it as well, but been smart enough to do it at Barret Jackson and not ebay.

I something was going to be up with her, she didnt have the car long enough to get attached to it.
On the other hand, I saw the all new show the other night where the nice older guy with the GMC van he bought NEW in 1976 was tricked by his daughter and son in law, I thought that van turned out great! and the owner was more than pleased and excited to have it overhauled!!
btw, the painter Mike lavalee is a local guy here in the Seattle area, I do my share of custom stuff also and he is a great inspiration!

Um, I'm gonna ring in on this, if for no reason than to tick people off, I suppose...
Whether or not they liked the car, or it was staged, or whatever, TLC and Foose, et al, get more exposure. They'll shrug it off as advertising. No problem. Foose gets more exposure, he gets more bottom line.
I sold my Muskrat for the simple reason of I was paranoid of getting it hurt after all the TLC I put in it. I thought it was going to a good home, but the guy sold it after he got it home for 3x what I got from him. Did I see any money from that? Nope. That's capitalism for ya. And I hold no grudge against him either.
Foose, et al, don't care. Trust me. Unless they show up here and say so, it don't matter to them. Sometimes things like this happen. They've moved on, I guarantee ya.
And it's not bronze/emberglo so it's not as good looking as it could be...
