I have seen alot of people posting issues with their stangs, and they all seem to be GT's. Anyone here have a V6 with any problems? just curious.

After 1,600 miles, the V6 is smooth and powerful, the auto transmission shifts smoothly with no strange sounds, the steering is fine, the brakes feel good and don't squeek, the Shaker 500 still plays great, and every thing else works as it should. I love driving this car!

Minor problems: a slight rattle in the right side of the dash on hard bumps (something might just need to be tightened) and an intermittent creeking sound from the right rear strut area. I'm not overly concerned. I'll have it checked out at the dealer when I take it for the first oil change.

I've had my v6 for a week now and have noticed the whinning sound during deceleartion 40- 50 mph. I think many ppl on this board are experiencing the same problem. Everything else seems to be working fine.

Same as BARJON said in his first paragragraph. Road noise is a little loud and the suspension souds cheap as you drive.

Hey There,

I have nearly 2000 miles on mine, and here are the "issues"...

• Transmission whining between 45-60 (accelleration-not on decel)
• Hard to fuel-pump keeps cutting off
• Chipped paint at delivery (Hood Region)

I have not taken the car to the dealer yet, I'm waiting for the 1st oil change. Although these things happen with 1st year builds, it is frustrating. If I had to do it all over again, I would not change a thing. I'm sure Ford will make it right.

Jim

Ponyman, when you refuel, insert the nozzle upside down. That'll cure the premature shut-off.

Apparently this isn't unique to the new Mustang. My sister has to do the same thing with her Explorer.
