Urgent IUP Update
#43
For all the rumours, doom and gloom, and complaints in general about having to wait...has anyone else noticed how smooth this first model year has actually been for the Mustang? And the vast majority of "problems" have been relatively minor in nature when they have occured.
The 500 has had a pretty good first model year too, which leads me to believe there may be even smoother sailing ahead. I am impressed.

Thank you so much for getting us a definite answer from Ford. I think we can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. I also think that if Mr. Weyer ,or whatever his stupid name is,causes us more delay then we should file suit against him for mental anguish!

That is just amazing that they predicted a 20% take rate for IUP, as soon as I saw that option I thought to myself, for $450 bucks why would anybody not order this. They might as well just jack the selling price up and make it standard. I see a lot of V6's on the lots without IUP that I think are going to be there for a while.
I'm glad I'm not in a hurry.

They are at AAI now installing new capacity. It will be at the new full capacity within the model year.

Good. I just sat in a GT with MyColor at one of the Ford dealers I work with. It was red with black leather. Purple MyColor was on the gauges.
I've decided that, in fact, I must have that too. I thought I could live without it, but...
Darn you Ford and your MyColor!
/am now thinking of how to pipe MyColor to all interior switches and such. That'd be a wayyy cool mod.

$4.00 a car??? doesnt sound right, if he is sueing for the rights, then $4.00 a car is an extreemly low amount, the amount of cars they wil sell with IUP with an adverage sales rate over say 5 years would only be 1.5 mil over 5 yrs. thats alot of money but you can sure as heck bet FORDS buying them now for a heck of alot more than $4.00
Not saying it's not true, just saying its a heck of a low setlement
by the way..thank god, now i can get my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems to me that it will be well in model year '05 that there will be many months left for the new install to run it's course for a good chunky amount of months off of the '05 model year. But then again Ford has oversaid a few things in the past, let's just hope this goes smoothly.
