I've gone to 4 different dealers in the Memphis, TN and NW Mississippi area trying to order a new GT on the X plan. One dealer offered to order me one at 3% over invoice(I'll probably end up back there), the other three didn't even seem to know HOW to order a car :bang: . Anybody know of any competent dealers or salespeople in the Memphis, TN area? Or if there's any good salespeople on the forum, do you want to sell me a car?

Call Ford customer relations and complain about each dealer specifically. Most dealers close by a Ford factory or Ford parts supplier, will gladly sell you one. X-plan is 2% over invoice, what's another 1%, about $250 dollars. Not a big deal but it's just the fact that they won't honor Fords "select customer" plan.

Hey, Im from Memphis too. Yes, you can order them from Landers Ford in Collierville. But be careful, I used to work in the service department there and the salesmen there are jerks.

Thanks. Yeah, I wasn't that worried about the extra $250, it was more the principle of the thing. Plus when I showed the 2005 order guide to a salesman at one dealership, he looked like a goat looking at a wristwatch.

Dealers are not legally obligated to sell at X plan. It's up to the dealer to decide if they will honor it or not.

Thanks also. Any particular salesperson that may be less of a jerk than the others?

Thanks. I knew that. It's just that if you offer them the opportunity to make a quick, clean $1000-$1200 profit for doing nothing but filing the paperwork, you would think they might be interested. That plus the fact that two of them told me the new Mustangs couldn't even be ordered yet.
