I have a 2007 4.6l GT and I’ve replaced the TPS and the actuator motor but still get the same codes and can’t figure out what is wrong, none of the wiring is messed up and it fires up but is in FAIL safe mode plus I have ZERO throttle. Tried unplugging the battery and clearing the PCM memory and also delete codes with OBD but they keep coming back. Please help!

 

On my '06 GT, I tried to replace the actuator motor as well. The motor had to be installed 'just so'. And even then, it locked the butterflies closed. The new motor for some reason bound up the system.

I wound up just replacing the entire throttle body with a brand new Motorcraft one from Summit Racing. I recommend you do the same. It'll just work, and it comes with everything. Motor, body, and TPS. I learned a lesson trying to not buy the complete assembly. Trying to repair it isn't worth the expenditure of time, effort and money.
