I'm having second thoughts on Tungsten. How late could I change the color to black? I'm scheduled to be built next week (8/29)...

anytime you make a change it can bump your placement. I changed the rims I wanted and this set back my build date by 2 weeks.

I'm scheduled for next week as well. I believe any time under 10 days it is very difficult to change even the easier things (wheels, radio, etc), something as major as the color of the car might not be so easy. Seems a major change would result in a rescheduling.

Best bet would be to call your dealer. You might also want to ask the the ask a ford dealer forum.

I can't decide. Aaaggghhhh. I'm not digging the purplish tint that's being talked about. However, I'm way to lazy to wash the car very often, so I figure grey is my best bet in that regard...

Quit frettin'... Sonic Blue? Now THAT has a purple hue to it. I really wonder how many people would pick up on the TG purple thing on their own without reading about it here first.

I've seen the car in person, and I did not notice the purple. However! Based on what is around the car and the time of day, I can see how folks COULD come to this conclusion.

In a nutshell... you will love it. YA GOTTA BELIEVE!

I talked to a dealer that had an order of what I wanted, but different color. He called up and had it changed. If I remember right, he said you can change it up to a week before it is produced.

But that was last year, so who knows if they still follow the same policy.

Normally changes can NOT be made within 10 WORKING days of production.

You don't see any purple in perf. white!! Unless your next to a VB, SB, or Tung...........

I know what your going through, I almost wanted to switch to VB - but I just love the blue stripe on white!!!!

Thanks for the replies.

I just got back from looking at a V6 in Tungsten. It's most definitely grey, with an ever so subtle purpleish hue to it. It is VERY subtle. It's darker that Satin, but not as much as I thought.

Anyway, I'm sticking with it.

One more thing, the car was filthy, I guess it hadn't been prepped yet. It hid the dirt VERY well.
